Political Communication & Elections

Since 2006, I have participated in multiple research projects to understand how communication—across its levels and dimensions—structures politics during electoral processes. I have coordinated and taken part in research on Mexico’s federal and local elections in 2006, 2012, 2015, 2018, 2021, and 2024. I also conducted an ethnography of the 2016 United States presidential election as part of my doctoral dissertation. I currently lead a collaborative research project on political rallies during Mexico’s 2024 presidential election (see project page).
