\n The press is a fundamental institution for the political development of contemporary societies, especially those with democratic aspirations. Journalism is one of the practices that gives life to this institution. An important part of my academic work has focused on the study of journalism and the media in Mexico. My research on the industrial and post-industrial press has approached these subjects from different dimensions (political, economic, environmental, and cultural) and through various theoretical frameworks (political economy, political communication, and the sociology of news production).\n <\/p>\n
